After taking three weeks to work on my last project I decided I needed instant gratification. I used some extra green corduroy left from
a dress I made recently and a pattern from a book I borrowed from the library,
Growing Up Sew Liberated (a really great sewing book with projects to make for kids.)

I used the pattern for the Basic Pocket Pants and loosely followed the directions. I made a few small changes but they aren't that drastically different from the original. They are on the large side for him and the front buckles out a bit but really it's just room to grow over the next few months. The pockets are roomy- perfect for all the treasures we pick up on our daily walks.
Oh how cute! Cord is such a fab fabric when sewing for kids, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteThat green is a wonderful shade: I'd buy that in an instant if I found it.
