My blog takes a new direction- Sewing for myself (and occasionally others)

My blog will is heading in a new direction now.  I'm super excited!  I've been sewing for other folks for sometime-- now I will be sewing only for myself and occasionally others.  I will post lots of photos on Flickr and reviews of sewing patterns on
I've recently lost a boatload of weight. Which left me with exactly no clothes to wear. So in the past couple weeks I've been working to change that.
I have all of these wonderful fabrics I've collected over the past few years. My current obsession is with jersey knits. I have a few projects in mind.
This top is an organic cotton in a juicy teal. It's based on picture I saw in the book Sew U Home Stretch: The Built by Wendy Guide to Sewing Knit Fabrics but I used this lovely T-shirt dress pattern to start me off. The skirt is self-drafted-- made from a denim that mysteriously showed up in my cabinet of fabrics. There's a lot of stretch in it thanks to a generous amount of spandex. I actually didn't put a waistband in because it slides on so easily. Hopefully it won't slide down as easily during the day.

    1. Sorry for that :( That's actually not something I can change... that's a Blogger service that is optional. From my personal experience of clicking that option by mistake, too, I think those emails I got automatically have an option somewhere in there to discontinue them. I *think* if I recall correctly it's at the bottom of those emails, it says something along the lines of 'want to stop automatically getting these emails when someone comments?' and there was a button I clicked, then the emails stopped. Hope this helps!
